Accident and Emergency Department

Have you had an accident and injured yourself? Or do you think you might have broken a bone? The best place to go is either:
Stamford Hospital Minor Injuries Unit, open 9-5pm, Mon-Fri, or
Peterborough District Hospital, A and E department, open 24 hours.

NHS Direct

If your problem is less urgent, or if you are not sure, you can telephone the national helpline NHS Direct and speak to a nurse.
Ring NHS Direct on 08 45 46 47
www.nhsdirect.org.uk
(Please note: in our area, NHS Direct does not deal with emergency medical calls, please call the Surgery or the Out-of-Hours Service instead.)

Dental problems

Although we have every sympathy for patients with urgent dental problems, your doctors have no dental training and are not qualified to give you dental advice.

If you cannot register with a local dentist, you will still be able to have emergency dental treatment. To arrange this, you need to contact NHS Direct.

Ring NHS Direct on 08 45 46 47
