Registering with us

Recently moved to the Stamford area?

We welcome new patients who have recently moved to live within the Practice area.

You can register with us by bringing your NHS medical card, or by filling out a form available at reception.

As a traditional "family practice", we prefer you to register all the members of your family with us.

Want to change from another local practice?

We don't encourage patients to transfer from one practice to another. If you are currently undergoing tests, a series of investigations or a course of treatment, then it is highly advisable to stay with your current medical practice.

If you really feel that a transfer to us would suit your needs, then please do make an appointment with one of our doctors to discuss this.

Check us out

All practices are different and we readily agree that we are unique!

Before you make a decision, please read about our principles on the page called About Us. Take a look at what makes us different and make sure you understand what we offer. For example, our open surgeries are loved by many but do not suit everybody.

New patient medical

All new patients are invited to come for a "New Patient Registration Medical". This is a good opportunity for us to get to know you and to understand any medical problems you have.

You will be offered an appointment with one of our Practice Nurses. She will ask you a few questions about your medical history and will note any medication you are taking. She will check your blood pressure and do a urine test. Depending on nurse's assessment, you may be offered further tests.

You can take advantage of this time to have a discussion with nurse about your lifestyle and any health problems.

If she feels it is necessary, she may ask you to come and see one of the practice doctors for a further assessment.
